Change invoice details

When to use this procedure

Follow the steps below to change various details about a sales or layaway invoice or a service ticket.

Note: Changing the date of an invoice does not effect the ledger date balances.

Steps to complete - general invoice details

  1. On the Modules menu, point to Customer and click Change Invoice. The Pick Customer window displays.
  2. Search for and select the customer account for which you want to update an invoice or service ticket. The Change Invoice window displays.
  3. In the grid, locate and click on the invoice number of the invoice you need to edit. The boxes on the right of the grid update with information from that invoice.
  4. Edit any invoice details as necessary. Not all boxes display for all invoice types.
  5. Click Line Notes to edit notes on the individual invoice items on the Line Item Notes window, if necessary.
  6. Click Save.

Steps to complete - change primary employee

  1. On the Modules menu, point to Customer and click Change Invoice Employee. The Pick Customer window displays.
  2. Search for and select the customer account for which you want to update an invoice or service ticket. The Change Invoice window displays.
  3. In the grid, locate and click on the invoice number of the invoice you need to edit. The boxes on the right of the grid update with information from that invoice.
  4. Select a new employee in the New Employee Id box.
  5. Click Save.
